Vice Ganda slams Tado’s ‘pang-gay’ remark on ‘Showtime’
What could be hotter than the day’s weather? Apparently, a recent “clash” between two funny people – a circulating topic on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook.
“Showtime” resident judge Vice Ganda and guest judge Tado exchanged a mouthful of offensive remarks during the live telecast of the variety show on May 24.
Vice Ganda got offended when Tado commented that a group’s performance was “pang-gay.”
Vice Ganda quickly reacted, “Ano namang masama sa pang-gay? May problema ka ba sa mga bakla, Tado?”
“Hindi naman. Just read my shirt,” Tado answered back pointing to his shirt stating: “Sabi ni Tado, di bale nang magnakaw kesa mamakla.”
“Ang marunong na tanggapin ang katotohanan ng buhay ay ang totoong bakla. Tandaan mo ‘yan,” said Vice proudly to Tado.
“Ang mga gipit, sa bading kumakapit,” Tado blurted, which Vice countered with, “Pero ang gipit kung ganyan ang hitsura, walang baklang magpapakapit!”
Vice’s turn
The conversation-turned-confrontation became even hotter when it was Vice Ganda’s turn to comment on the group’s performance. Good thing guest judge Gladys Reyes was seated between the two.
“Uminit ang tenga ko!” was Vice’s opening.
He continued, “Pasensiya na kayo ha, naging masyado talaga akong emosyunal sa pagkakataong ito. Naapektuhan talaga ako sa sinabi ni Tado. Gusto ko lang maging totoo. At gusto ko lang itaas hindi lang ang sarili ko kundi lahat ng baklang nabubuhay sa mundo… At pati na rin lahat ng mga magulang na may anak na bakla, gusto ko lang sabihin sa kanila na walang nakakahiya sa pagiging bakla.”
“I love you, friend,” Tado segued. But an obviously irked Vice replied, “I don’t love you, Tado.”
The group was apparently from Marikina, where Tado ran for councilor last elections but lost. “Ngayon alam na namin kung bakit ka natalo,” Vice blasted off at Tado.
“Naririnig mo ba ako Tado?,” Vice asked Tado, who answered, “Hindi eh… hindi ako nakikinig…”
Vice, obviously irritated with Tado’s gesture, blurted, “Hindi ka talaga nakikinig kasi bastos ka!”
Super offended
In Vice Ganda’s official fan page on Facebook, he posted his thoughts regarding the earlier incident:
“I am deeply appalled by Tado’s obnoxious remark about gay people in Showtime today!! I am GAY! and I’m very proud to be GAY! and as one I will not allow anyone to disrespect me and the rest of the gay community for our preference!”
His second entry read: “I was super offended by Tado!!! super!! as in!!! pero i must admit naka-offend din ako sa naging reactions ko. I dont demand an apology from Tado. But i wanna humbly apologize to those i disappointed!! I am human. I commit mistakes. We all do. Love love love!!!!!” mb.com.ph
