“SHOWTIME” host and ace comedian Vice Ganda is not affected by the negative write-ups he is now getting.
In an episode of “Showtime,” Vice said that whatever things thrown at him, it will not stop him from doing things he love.“Sabihin nyo lang lahat ng pwede nyong sabihin sa akin sa dyaryo, hindi ninyo ako mapapahinto,” he said.
In a separate television interview, Vice said he believes the negative issues thrown at him are not directly meant for him.
“Feeling ko naman dina-down nila ako kasi hindi dahil gusto nila ako ma-down eh, feeling ko ang gusto talaga nilang i-down eh yung ‘Showtime’.”
Vice further said its flattery on their part that others wanted to copy what they have but they are also offended when other shows are not executed well.
“Nakaka-offend kasi parang binastos naman yung ‘Showtime’ namin, yung programa namin. Pero okay lang yan, maybe you can try harder the next time,” he added.
The comedian also cleared rumors that his friend and comedian Chokoleit is envious of what he is now getting.
“Ayokong sabihin na naiinggit sya sa akin kasi yung mga tinatamasa ko naman ngayon eh naranasan nya na rin,” Vice said.
He added that he saw how Chocoleit worked his way to be able to succeed in the entertainment business and they are each others’ supporter.
Vice meanwhile said he will never stop performing as stand-up comedian in comedy bars.
“Ayaw kong iwanan ang comedy bar kasi bukod sa doon ako nagsimula, doon ako nahahasa pa rin.”
Vice however said he will concentrate more in “Showtime” right now but vows to go back in stand-up comedy. sunstar.com.ph
